GetVape is an ecommerce (Shopify) startup based in East London. Founded by Yasin Mahmood and Humza Bhatti, who are passionate about vaping and quality juices.
GetVape's continuous growing orders were overwhelming their picking and packing workflow. Their shipping process consisted of printing an integrated A4 label / invoice, cutting out the address, taping the address, adding an Airmail sticker and filling out a CN22 customs form.
They wanted to find a way to save time but not forego accuracy during picking and packing. They were also hiring warehouse staff and wanted to ensure the new way would be easy to learn. With Simple Merchant's workflows the system retained the shipping rules instead of teaching new staff every time how each order should be shipped. Whether it is a rest of the world order or an expedited domestic order, GetVape separate their orders automatically via their own custom shipping rules (workflows).
GetVape now only prints on free 4x6 inch thermal labels (from Royal Mail) with all order information instead of using A4 integrated labels. The picking and packing process was reduced from 5 minutes to 45 seconds per package. The time was significantly decreased as warehouse staff did not have to reconcile an invoice, a shipping label and other paperwork.

All of the required information is on the shipping label itself. Shipping labels are grouped via SKUs are put into descending order automatically, so that picking and packing happens in an organized way. Even more time is saved for Multi SKU orders and orders that require CN22 customs forms. Shipping labels and CN22s are automatically organized and printed for Get Vape.

For orders that don't make it to their final destination, they can be easily reshipped with a single mouse click. The reshipment is added to the daily order queue.
GetVape now make virtually no picking mistakes, which means no emails about items missing and having to pay more postage. Reconciling items for the order is simple with SKU and quantity printed directly on the label. They no longer have to do manual CN22 customs forms. Effective shipping is now very much a part of the GetVape experience.
